Ronald Kogo
Nakuru, Kenya
About Me:
I am Ronald Kogo, married to Jackline Kogo, and God has blessed us with 4 kids. We have been involved in church planting since the year 2008 (Injili Bible Church and Grace Baptist Church). Also I have been involved in the translation of solid Christian literature from English to Swahili. This the Lord used to settle my family bills. These materials have reached many pastors in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Eastern DR Congo. Currently I am in a process of church planting Covenant Baptist Church, Nakuru.
About the Church:
Covenant Baptist Church is a reformed Baptist Church seeking to make Christ known, and to see the gospel lived out. Our vision is to preach Christ, the true satisfaction.
About the Community:
Nakuru is the 4th largest city in Kenya. It is a true fact that Nakuru has a wider gap between the rich and poor. And for a long time, the majority of the people in Nakuru have been small-scale farmers. The city has for long been dominated by false teachers and cults. It is known as the city of “God” as it is dominated by false teachers who enjoy big followings and huge paychecks. The majority of those we meet in the Bible study have so long been looking for churches that read, preach and live by the Bible. It is the Lord who has provided this opportunity.
Prayer Requests:
- For personal purity, growth and patience.
- For our people to grow in the knowledge of Christ and to live lives that adorn the gospel, and for provision of resources and more gifted men.
- For security in the community and for people to be receptive to the gospel.
