I grew up in a religious family, my parents were members of a cult called ZCC. By God’s grace I was 17 years old when I responded to God’s invitation to have a new relationship with him. In 2005 I enrolled with Christ Seminary, South Africa and I graduated in 2008. I got married in April 2006 to Itumeleng Leballo and the Lord has blessed us with 3 biological children, and we are currently in the process of adopting 2 children. After serving as an intern and later an Elder at Midrand Chapel, I was sent out to revitalize a once dying church, and have been ministering here at Moletsane Baptist Church Soweto for 5 years.
About the Church:
Moletsane Baptist Church Soweto was founded in 1978 and is a member church both of Sola 5 and of the Baptist Union of Southern Africa. The Word of God is at the centre of what we do, why we do things, and how we do things.
About the Community:
Soweto is a Township of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan in Gauteng, South Africa. It is the largest Township in Southern Africa. Many parts of Soweto rank among the poorest in Johannesburg; 60% of the population live on low income and 30% are unemployed.
- For God’s strength in enduring suffering, to see it as a privilege to suffer for the gospel and for a smooth finalization of our adoption process.
- Praise the Lord with us for a steady growth in numbers and maturing in faith. Pray for effective discipleship of our members, unity amongst our Elders, and for our members who suffer according to the will of God, that they would entrust their souls to Christ in doing what is right.
- Pray for the salvation of the lost in our community.
