Network: North America

Church planting can come with a great deal of pressure and stress. One of the most significant stressors in church planting comes with this question: “How am I going to pay the bills?”

Acts 29 US Southeast holds as a foundational principle that churches plant churches. Networks provide structure that creates a culture where churches can thrive and plant. We also want to make sure that we use the resources God entrusts to our network to support Acts 29 church plants in the US Southeast.

To those ends, we have allocated a portion of our Network Giving to support Acts 29 Planters. The following provides some important information for how this will take place.

What are the criteria for being funded?

Assessment/Membership

We will only fund full Acts 29 Members who have been assessed and approved through our Assessment Process. If you are new to the assessment process or interested in being assessed, you can learn more at Acts29.com/assessment

Matching Partner Church

We will only fund Acts 29 Members who are also being funded by an existing Acts 29 church. You can find an interactive map of our existing Acts 29 churches at Acts29.com/find-churches.

Ethnic Diversity

Based on insight gleaned from a few of our African American brothers, there are real limitations when it comes to fundraising within minority communities. These limitations play a significant role in church planters and their respective families being sustained financially throughout their church planting endeavors. With that in mind and in light of our goal of pursuing ethnic diversity throughout our network, we are seeking to come alongside them by setting aside a significant portion of our funding dollars to ensure that qualified ethnic minority planters clearly understand that we have their back and that they are equipped financially to plant.

Time

Support is granted for a 12 month period. A Planter can reapply each year using the same process.

How can I be considered for funding?

To be considered for this funding, the Acts 29 Member would need to complete the application. If you are not an Acts 29 member and are in the process of planting or recently planted, learn more about Acts 29 and our network in the Southeast by visiting Acts29se.com.

Here is an upcoming timeline and need-to-know dates for 2017-2018 funding:

  • Applications are due February 1, 2017.
    • A budget will be required as part of the application.
  • Applicants should expect to hear back about their applications by March 1, 2017.
  • Money will be disbursed from April, 2017 to March, 2018 of the following year.

If you are an Acts 29 member in US Southeast Network, you can submit your application for funding here. You can also download a PDF of our Funding Policy here.
