Introduction
Sanctuary Church is seeking a part-time (15-20 hour/week) Director of Worship. We’re looking for a musical, loving disciple of Jesus who will be the primary point-person, leader, planner, and coordinator for our Sunday Morning worship gatherings. We need creative, artistic ways to both express and experience the full breadth of gospel story. This role is crucial in creating a space that engages our hearts and minds, allows us to rejoice and lament, weep and hope, and in the end encounter the risen Jesus as our savior, lord, and friend.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, previous experience in planning and leading worship in a church context, musical skill, leadership and team-building experience, a love for music, art, language and clear communication, and a deep commitment to Christ, the Bible, and the Church. They will be willing to make Sanctuary their home church.

- Demonstrated experience planning and leading worship
- Musical skill, and the ability to lead a team and grow the skills of others
- A teachable and collaborative spirit
Position Description
- Plan and lead thoughtful & engaging worship
- Be the primary point person for Sunday morning worship
- Create weekly worship slideshow in ProPresenter
- Build, equip, encourage, and schedule a team of volunteers
- Ensure consistency and quality of AV (in house and for live-stream)
- Familiarity with Planning Center, ProPresenter, and Google Suite a plus
- Communicate and coordinate with United Church, our host facility, as necessary
- Occasionally plan and lead non-Sunday services (e.g., Good Friday, Christmas Eve)
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned
15-20 hours / week
Typically, 4 of these hours are on Sunday mornings at United Church (8:30am – 12:30pm)
$1700-$1900 / month
