Position Objective
To help Vertical Life Church passionately lift high the name of Jesus by leading Christ-centered worship and overseeing production/media with excellence, humility, and joy.
Position Summary
· The Worship + Production Leader (WPL) will affect the worship culture of VLC by:
· Planning and leading Sunday services that exalt Christ.
· Recruiting, training, and discipling musicians, vocalists, and production teams.
· Overseeing audio, video, lighting, livestream, and social media presence.
· Supporting the Elders and staff in church-wide initiatives.
This role combines musical skill, technical oversight, and ministry leadership to help make, mature, and send disciples of Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities
Music & Worship
· Plan, lead, and evaluate weekly worship services.
· Recruit and disciple musicians and vocalists.
· Lead rehearsals and coach across multiple instruments.
· Develop future worship leaders.
Production & Media
· Recruit and train production volunteers (sound, video, lighting, livestream).
· Manage stage design, livestream quality, and social media content.
· Maintain and upgrade AVL equipment and ministry software.
· Collaborate on church branding, graphics, and communication.
Leadership & Administration
· Guide and disciple volunteers with care and accountability.
· Manage annual ministry budget and team meetings.
· Assist with weddings, funerals, retreats, and special gatherings.
· Pursue ongoing growth through training and conferences.

Character
· A maturing disciple of Jesus, marked by humility and the fruit of the Spirit.
· Models servant leadership and relational wisdom.
· Joyfully embraces VLC’s doctrine, mission, and philosophy.
Competence
· Strong musical ability (vocals and guitar) to lead contemporary worship.
· Skilled in media/production technology.
· Organized, action-oriented, and able to develop volunteers.
· Theological training and church leadership experience preferred.

· Growing church on seven acers in Cypress, TX
· Attendance is 150-200 weekly.
· Contemporary worship style shaped by Scripture.
· Volunteers serving faithfully across music and production teams.
