Acts 29 Southern Africa encompasses all fifteen of the nations represented in the SADC community. This region has an estimated population of nearly 300 million people and contains a diversity of languages, races, cultures and people groups.
The Network only formalized in the region in 2014, and is currently focused primarily on South Africa and its bordering nations, with leadership currently resting in the hands of Ross Lester, Tobie Meyer and Johan Verster, who are all based in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
There is great gospel need in the region, and a deep desire for a global and diverse network to plant gospel centred churches that plant other churches. The assessment process has been customized for Southern Africa, and the first applicants are now starting to be coached and assessed. Regular training, recruiting and assessment events are planned for the region and our hope is that many men will be drawn to Acts 29 to plant churches in this massively strategic region.
