A breakfast with a friend stirred something in Todd. He had just listened to a church planter share honestly about both the hardships and the clear calling of ministry, and how his prayer was for God to raise up even more leaders. As he left, Todd couldn’t shake the sense that God was speaking directly to him.

Todd shared that stirring with leaders at his Acts 29 church, who came alongside him to help discern the call. Through regular conversations, encouragement, and intentional investment, they helped Todd explore what stepping into church planting could look like.

Then came an unexpected invitation: would he consider planting in Montana? Todd and his wife had envisioned planting close to home in Florida. But after a visit to Montana, God made it clear: this was where he was leading.

Todd went on to complete a church planting residency and was trained and assessed by Acts 29 leaders who walked closely with him every step of the way. Last year, Todd and his family moved from Florida to Montana to plant Bridger Church.

Todd often reminds his church of the urgency of their mission:

“You live here on purpose, for such a time as this, to reach this ever-growing valley of lost people. 80% of the 105,000 people here don’t know Jesus.”

On Easter Sunday, Bridger Church officially launched with nearly 300 people, celebrating three baptisms and three new salvations.

They are prayerfully asking God for 100 people to come to faith and 26 baptisms this year, and we’re excited to see what God will do next in Montana.
