Move forward with a proven pipeline built for long-term health and multiplication.

The Church Planting Pipeline

Our church planting pipeline moves leaders from discerning their call to leading healthy, multiplying churches that reach people with the gospel.

Recruit

Recruit

Clarify the calling and get a training recommendation.

Acts 29 identifies potential church planters and invites them to submit an interest survey to discern fit and readiness. From there, you receive a clear training recommendation so you know the right next step before moving into development and assessment.

Train

Train

Build a strong foundation before you launch.

Before assessment, church planters gain hands-on experience through apprenticeships and residencies in healthy churches. This season strengthens theological clarity and practical ministry skill.

Assess

Assess

Confirm readiness with clarity and conviction.

Experienced planters and pastors evaluate a church planter’s calling, theology, leadership capacity, and missional experience through a rigorous assessment process, culminating in a 2-day in-person assessment conference.

Coach

Coach

Navigate the early years with guidance and support.

Approved planters receive coaching during the demanding early seasons of church planting. This support is designed to help leaders address real-time challenges and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

Multiply

Multiply

Become a base for future planting.

Established churches develop leaders, train others, host residents, and participate in planting again through ongoing collaboration.

How the Process Helps

You may feel the call to plant a church. The vision is compelling. The responsibility is weighty. Without a clear process, many planters experience uncertainty, isolation, or drift.

For more than 25 years, Acts 29 has refined a pathway that replaces guesswork with clarity and surrounds church planters with support and collaboration. Churches planted through Acts 29 have an 87% success rate at the ten-year mark.

What to Know Before You Start

Theological Alignment

Acts 29 churches share a common theological foundation. That shared theology protects unity and long-term health.

Acts 29 affirms:

  • The Lausanne Covenant

  • Gospel centrality

  • The sovereignty of God

  • Spirit-empowered ministry

  • Complementarian leadership

  • Missional churches

Financial Commitment

Once a church launches public services, it commits 10% of its annual budget to church planting:

  • 2% to Acts 29

  • 8% to church planting, with priority given to funding Acts 29 church plants

Ready, Not Rushed

Planting with Acts 29 is an intentional process that includes preparation, assessment, coaching, and ongoing collaboration. This pace is designed to protect leaders, families, and churches and help planters move forward with clarity rather than urgency.

Take the Next Faithful Step

The path is clear. The support is real. If you sense the call to plant, the next step is to complete an interest application.
