Series: Deep Day | Manchester UK 2014

Speaker: Michael McClenahan, Mike Tindall

Deep days provide ‘deep theology for church planting’. Open to both church leaders and congregational members, Deep days are designed to take Christians further in their theological understanding to equip them for their involvement in churches that plant churches.

Every church planter longs to see the Holy Spirit at work in granting saving faith to people, and in stirring corporate renewal. Jonathan Edwards has been called “the theologian of revival”, and his work in these two areas is indispensable for our own lives and ministry.

This day provided a critique of who Jonathan Edwards was and what he taught. As a Christian preacher and theologian from the 18th century, Edwards is widely acknowledged to be America’s most important and original theologian, and one of its greatest intellectuals.
