Sam Storms on Spiritual Gifts
0:000:00
One of Acts 29’s theological distinctives affirms the necessity of the Holy Spirit’s presence for all of life and ministry. The third person of the Trinity convicts us of sin, unites us with Christ, and produces holiness in us as he fixes our eyes on Jesus. From salvation through the life-long process of sanctification, we are utterly dependent on the Spirit’s effective and abundant work. Spiritual gifts are essential in our spiritual battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil and crucial to the mission of church planting. Sam Storms joins me on the podcast today to discuss spiritual gifts. Sam has been a pastor for over 47 years and is currently the lead pastor for preaching and vision at Bridgeway Church in Oklahoma City (an Acts 29 church). He’s taught systematic and historical theology at Grace Training Center and Wheaton College and serves on the Council of The Gospel Coalition and the Executive Committee of The Evangelical Theological Society. He founded Enjoying God Ministries, now serving as its president, has written more than 35 books.
