In January, Bobbie Brooks launched Kingdom Life Fellowship in Riviera Beach, Florida. Six months later, Bobbie is excited and encouraged by the ways God is already moving in his community.

“I have been encouraged by the stories I’ve heard from our members—the impact of the Word of God, authentic community, and people being stretched to live on mission,” Bobbie shared. On Palm Sunday, instead of a typical worship service, the church served the community. One woman prayed to receive Christ, and many others welcomed prayer and meaningful gospel conversations.

Another story hit closer to home. A longtime neighbor surrendered her life to Jesus after more than 40 years in the LGBTQ community. She was baptized in April and now faithfully serves in the church.

Kingdom Life is also building relationships through a weekly food distribution partnership with Publix, creating opportunities to serve residents in a nearby low-income housing community. Spanish-speaking members have been able to share Christ and pray with many families in their own language.

As the church grows, Bobbie asks for prayer as they develop new leaders, strengthen discipleship programs, and build trust with people whose past church experiences left them skeptical. “We continuously strive to build relationships in the community by demonstrating the love of Jesus through service,” he said. “We want to affirm we care whether they visit our church or not.”
