In January 2027, Eric Manjarrez will launch Westrock Church in the Westgate area of West Phoenix.

As one of Arizona’s fastest-growing regions, Phoenix’s West Valley is projected to account for nearly half of Maricopa County’s future growth, making it a major opportunity for gospel ministry.

Eric is excited to plant in Westgate because, despite the area’s growth, diversity, and family-centered culture, no Bible-teaching, gospel-preaching church exists in the immediate vicinity.

As Westgate prepares for launch, God has already been at work. Through Acts 29 relationships, Eric has found encouragement and support. They’ve steadily built a launch team, empowered leaders, formed a worship team, and brought families into the church community. Most encouraging, they have had numerous gospel conversations, seen people come to faith in Christ, and baptized three individuals before the church officially launched!

Eric is “praying to see a movement of God where people know the Word, walk in the way of Jesus in community, and win the West Valley to Jesus.”

Pray for Westrock Church:

• Pray that God would continue to grow and strengthen the launch team spiritually and numerically as they approach their January 2027 launch.
• Pray that many more people in West Phoenix would come to know Jesus through the ministry of Westrock Church.
• Pray for partners who will see the vision and come alongside them to reach Phoenix with the gospel.
