2026 President’s Communication Coordinator Job Description
Reports to: Brian Howard, President
Workload: Full-time
Location: Hybrid, MUST be Located in Southern California
Must be authorized to work in the US – Remote
General Description
The President’s Communication Coordinator serves as the primary steward of the President’s voice, presence, and public communication. This role is strategic, creative, and execution-driven. The role does not manage organizational communications broadly; rather, it exists to faithfully steward the President’s public voice in service of Acts 29’s mission — ensuring that mission is represented clearly, consistently, and compellingly in every communication.
The President’s Communication Coordinator translates vision into content, presence, and influence—across speaking, writing, social media, video, and emerging platforms—so that the President’s leadership meaningfully advances Acts 29’s mission globally.
Primary Purpose
To advance the mission of Acts 29 by:
- Strategically shaping and amplifying the President’s voice
- Ensuring alignment between the President’s public presence and organizational priorities
- Increasing clarity, reach, and impact of the President’s communication inside and outside the network
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Presidential Voice & Message Stewardship
- Serve as the primary curator and guardian of the President’s public voice, tone, theology, and messaging.
- Translate the President’s thinking, vision, and leadership priorities into clear, compelling content
- Ensure consistency across platforms while allowing for context-appropriate nuance
2. Social Media Strategy & Production (President-Only)
- Own and manage all personal social media channels for the President
- Develop a proactive content strategy and calendar for the President
- Write, edit, design, schedule, and publish content (posts, threads, short-form video, stories, etc.)
- Monitor engagement and adapt strategy for reach, resonance, and credibility
3. Speaking Strategy & Event Coordination
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend speaking opportunities aligned with strategic priorities
- Coordinate all speaking logistics in collaboration with internal teams and external hosts
- Ensure the President is present at the right events—not merely more events
- Create briefing documents for each engagement (audience, goals, themes, desired outcomes)
4. Content Creation for Speaking Engagements
- Develop outlines, manuscripts, talking points, and supporting materials
- Produce high-quality visuals (slides, graphics, charts) for all speaking engagements
- Collaborate with the President to refine content without diluting voice or conviction
- Repurpose talks into secondary content (clips, articles, social posts)
5. Video Strategy & Production
- Coordinate and oversee all video content featuring the President
- Plan filming schedules, locations, and storyboards
- Manage editing, publishing, and distribution workflows
- Capture or manage recording of:
- Short-form social video
- Teaching and vision content
- Fundraising and donor-facing messages
- Internal leadership communication
- Manage editing, publishing, and distribution workflows
6. Podcast Creation & Production
- Conceptualize, launch, and produce a new podcast featuring the President
- Integrate podcast content into broader Acts 29 communication strategy
- Handle:
- Show vision and positioning
- Episode planning and scheduling
- Guest coordination
- Recording logistics
- Editing, publishing, and promotion
7. Writing Projects & Thought Leadership
- Organize and manage all presidential writing initiatives (articles, essays, book projects, long-form content)
- Draft and edit content in close collaboration with the President
- Manage timelines, revisions, and publishing workflows
- Identify opportunities for thought leadership aligned with Acts 29’s mission
8. Strategic Integration & Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Acts 29 communications team (alignment, not overlap)
- Development and donor relations
- The Executive Assistant to the President
- Executive leadership
- Ensure presidential communication reinforces organizational priorities without becoming siloed
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the President on communication opportunities and risks
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop a Presidential Content Calendar aligned with Acts 29’s annual rhythms
- Create a long-term voice and influence strategy (platform growth, audience development)
- Maintain a content archive for reuse and repurposing
- Track qualitative and quantitative indicators of reach, engagement, and influence
- Prepare internal communications from the President when clarity or leadership presence is needed
Person Profile
- Required Qualifications
- Exceptional writing and editing ability
- Strong visual and storytelling instincts
- Experience managing high-profile leader communication
- Deep emotional intelligence and discretion
- Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, compelling content
- Strong project management and follow-through
- Comfort working closely with senior leadership
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred but not required.
- Podcast and video production experience
- Strategic communications or journalism background
- Familiarity with church leadership and theological contexts
- Experience in ministry, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations

Standard Requirements
- Travel: Overnight travel is required at times.
- Policies: Must adhere to Acts 29’s Handbook, Statement of Faith, Information Security Policy, and any additional policies required of Acts 29 staff.
- Equipment: Must return any Acts 29-purchased equipment upon the end of employment.
- Support: Must utilize Acts 29’s data, financial, and communication policies and systems for Acts 29 operations.
