About Hope Community:
Hope Community was planted in 2021 with a vision to see every person experience real and eternal hope in Jesus. We do this by equipping and sending hope-filled people to impact their community with the Gospel. In June of 2022, Hope Community merged with Valley View Bible Church, to form one Congregation, Hope Community in the Everett, WA area with a permanent facility. We are an elder-led church with a deep commitment to prayer and multiplying leaders. Our church offers a variety of rich ministries: Community Groups, Kids, Youth and many more. Our hope is to not only be a blessing to our community, but to the greater Seattle-area by planting more churches that bear the vision of seeing every person experience real and eternal hope in Jesus.
The Worship Pastor role at a glance:
We are looking for a man who loves Jesus and is passionate about seeing people following after Jesus. This person should be passionate about the mission, vision, and strategy of Hope Community as well as a gifted and skilled leader in worship ministry. We are looking for a gifted leader, communicator, and musician who has a clear vision, philosophy, and strategy to lead our congregation to grow in knowledge and love of God through worship.

Our vision is that every person would experience real and eternal hope in Jesus. We do that by equipping and sending hope-filled people to impact their community with the Gospel. We think this happens in amazing ways on Sunday mornings through our worship experience. Worship prepares us for eternity, so it is imperative that we lead in a way that points directly to Jesus and with excellence. Because of the size and scope of our ministry, we need a leader who is able to lead in various settings and also equip volunteers to serve and lead with excellence. This person will provide leadership to a team of volunteers and potentially staff in an environment of love, care and encouragement.
As the Worship Pastor, you will:
- Lead worship services on Sunday and support all worship and tech ministry.
- Provide leadership, strategies, and encouragement to our Worship ministry.
- Oversee the administration of all gathering (Sunday morning) programs, establishing goals for the ministry and implementing strategies for growth and evangelism.
- Recruit, train, equip, and send lay leaders, musicians, and A/V teams through consistent communication, training, leadership opportunities, and care.
- Creatively plan the year’s calendar for Sunday worship and weekly communication with Lead Pastor and team.
- Set and administrates the annual budget for the Worship ministries.
- Fulfill other pastoral duties as needed
- This role reports to the Lead Pastor
What you will need to succeed:
- A growing relationship with Jesus
- Gifted, experienced and skilled leader
- Theological school and training is highly preferred
- A goal of multiplication in leaders and ministry
- Ability to lead, equip, and send people through strategy and execution
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
- Wisdom in decision making
- Results oriented, with giftings in collaboration and inspiration
- Servant leader who can thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Theological alignment with Hope Community
- Committed to the mission, vision, and strategy of Hope Community
- Membership at Hope Community upon hire
