EUROPE
Acts 29 Europe exists to facilitate and catalyse church-planting efforts across our continent. We are currently 74 churches with around 30 in our church-planting-pipeline. This is a healthy number for a continent which is, in many regions, less than 1% evangelical.
About
Many regions are now operating with their own assessment, coaching, training and support in-context and in-language, with growing teams of people working on the ground. This development goes hand in hand with a growing sense of solidarity between our regions, as well as between our regions and other regions outside Europe and between our Network and other Networks.
Acts 29 Europe finds itself highly impacted by the priorities that our collaboratives have highlighted. Europe is dealing with rapid urbanisation at one level and also problems and opportunities related to its rural zones. Each country is confronted with its own version of church in hard places.
We are delighted to benefit from the expertise and input from our Rural and Church in Hard Places teams. At the same time, Islam is making rapid progress in some European countries – and in other countries of our Network Islam is dominant. Nearly all European countries are dealing with mass immigration from troubled zones in North Africa, the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa which necessarily entails welcoming and interacting with Muslims.
In our highly complex, challenging times, we are grateful to be part of the Acts 29 family and together contribute to the advancement of the gospel in our beautiful and broken continent.

Keep in Touch with Acts 29 Europe
Who am I? What is my true identity? What defines me? Basic questions that need an answer. A precise one.
Together, in Lignano Sabbiadoro, in a beautiful location on the Adriatic Sea, perfect for an event like this, we will enjoy a wonderful opportunity to come together and explore answers to these questions.
Together we will together drill-down into the wonder of solid theology which defines the best identity – union with Christ, and redefines all of life. As church leaders and churches we will think through what it means to be healthy churches which are passionately missional and live out and bring the gospel of Jesus to this generation. We will explore how identity is so crucial in the planting and growing of such churches. Both in the plenaries, led by Sam, and in the seminars and breakouts, led by experienced men and women, this will be a unique opportunity to grow and mature. Firmly rooted in Christ!
THE EVENT
The event, organised by Impatto Italia (A29 in Italy), is primarily planned for the church in Italy but is also carefully thought through for participants coming from other countries.
SPEAKER
Our keynote speaker is Sam Allberry: pastor, preacher, teacher and author. Here you can find further information about him:
WORKSHOPS
In addition to the plenary sessions, there will be time to interact together in workshop-seminars on different topics that are essential for healthy multiplying churches. In these sessions the main focus will be on working through how union with Christ defines and redefines all areas of personal and corporal identity. (More details to follow soon…)
There will also be time to get to know each other more in a joyful and meaningful context. We will praise together, pray, ask questions, interact, fellowship and expectantly wait for the Lord to speak to our hearts.
The Areopagus in Athens is a cultural landmark that combines historical, geographical, and theological significance like few others. There, the Apostle Paul gave one of the best-known sermons in Christian history, recorded in the book of Acts. Here is what we read in Acts 17:22-23:
So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.
Paul’s context was unique, but it shares with ours the widespread spiritual ignorance and spiritual thirst that we encounter all around us. What are the ‘unknown gods’ that our Western cultures are worshipping? How can our proclamation of the Known God— the God who has made himself known in Jesus Christ— be as culturally incisive and contextually pertinent as possible? It is time to return to Athens, theologically and metaphorically.
And what if we all actually went to Athens and reflected on these things together?
That’s what Acts 29 Europe is proposing.
From 28 to 31 October 2026* in the Wyndham Grand Hotel, we will be gathering with church-planters from all across Europe, from the US, from Africa… to pray, to connect, and to reflect together on the challenges of our day in the proclamation of the one true God.
We believe that the greatest need of our continent is evangelistic church-planting that is theologically robust, culturally engaged, and missionally imaginative. We believe that our coming together in Athens will accelerate and amplify our church-planting endeavours. We would love to gather as many people as possible for this conference. Come and get connected. Come and be equipped. Come and find resourcing and encouragement. Come and meet fellow planters from across the world. Come because you want to proclaim the God who makes himself known in Christ to a culture that is worshipping it knows not what, for its temporal and eternal ruin.
