Segregated Sunday
Acts 29 - A diverse, global family of church-planting churches

As Martin Luther King, Jr. famously lamented, “At eleven o’clock on Sunday morning when we stand to sing ‘In Christ there is no East or West,’ we stand in the most segregated hour of America.” This ongoing reality is not an accident of history; it is a failure of God’s people to live “in step with the truth of the gospel” (Gal. 2:14). God himself shows no partiality (Acts 10:34), and he condemns it among his people (Jas. 2:1). For the death of Jesus has abolished every self-righteous reason for separation, calling all people to share the same Lord, the same Savior, and the same unity in the Spirit (Eph. 2:14). Therefore, the church must continue to oppose the darkness of racism with the light of the gospel, becoming in practice what we already are in truth: the multi-cultural people of God.
