3. Sola Gratia
Acts 29 - A diverse, global family of church-planting churches

“Grace alone.” Sinners are saved by the grace of God (his unmerited favor) alone. From beginning to end, salvation is a gift from God.

  • Ephesians 2:3
  • Philippians 1:29
  • 1 Peter 1:3-5

  1. Bob Thune said, “If you have any sense of pride that you are a Christian and someone else isn’t, you have missed the point.” What are your thoughts about this quote? Are there obvious or subtle ways in your life where you show sinful pride about being a Christian?
  2. In the video it said, “Who you are is the problem. You don’t just need a new set of rules or a moral code or a new start in life, you need a new nature, a radical renovation at the core of your being.” How do you try and “fix yourself ” apart from the grace of God?
  3. No Christian’s life bears a perfect resemblance to the Lord Jesus Christ, but every Christian’s life bears some resemblance to him. How has the grace of God changed you to be more like Jesus? Are there areas it seemingly hasn’t?
