Who Should Apply

Planting a church is a challenging but rewarding task, and not everyone is called to it.

We help potential planters, new church planters and existing churches explore a future in church planting with Acts 29 and set them up on a successful, stage-appropriate track, as outlined below.

Assessment Tracks

Acts 29 offers the following different assessment tracks:

Exploring Church Planting

  • For those who are exploring church planting in the next 5 years, but don’t yet know if church planting is for them.
  • Applicants must be 25 years or older, and in discussion with their local church pastor about church planting as a possible vocation.
  • Includes nine online assignments and a one-hour interview.

Church Planter Assessment

  • For those who have planted in the past 18 months or are going to plant in the next 12-18 months.
  • Applicants must be 28 years or older, formally affirmed by their local church, and with a minimum of three years of ministry experience.
  • Includes 14 online assignments and an assessment conference.

Existing Church Assessment

  • For those who lead an existing church that wants to join Acts 29 to see more churches planted.
