At first glance, Henniker, New Hampshire—a rural town of just 6,000 people—may not seem like a global missions hub. But through nearby New England College, Hope Church Henniker is stepping into a unique opportunity to bring the gospel to the nations without ever leaving town.

New England College is home to the most diverse student body in the state, including a significant number of international students who have traveled thousands of miles to study in rural New Hampshire. Many arrive far from family, culture, and community. From day one, Hope Church, led by church planter Eliot Delorme, has prayed to become a place of hospitality, prayer, and belonging for these students.

Already, that vision is taking shape. A church member leads a Bible study on campus, drawing students from diverse backgrounds to the church. Eliot shares, “We are working toward being a house of prayer for all nations right here in Henniker.”

Acts 29 has played a vital role in planting Hope Church through coaching, cohorts, and the partnership of two nearby Acts 29 churches—River of Grace and Christ Community Church.

These congregations didn’t just offer encouragement; they prayed, gave, and sent people to help establish a new gospel presence in Henniker. On launch Sunday, both churches even canceled their own gatherings so their members could worship alongside Hope Church—a powerful picture of three churches united around one mission: seeing the gospel advance in New Hampshire.

“My natural bent is toward shepherding,” Eliot says, “and I really appreciate how Acts 29 pushes me and the church to be more missional and to always look outward.” Click Para Twittear

In the coming years, Hope Church hopes to deepen relationships with international students through shared meals, prayer gatherings, and Bible studies. The vision is not only to serve students during their time in Henniker, but to see them return to their home countries carrying the hope of the gospel.

In a quiet New England town, God is opening a global door—and Hope Church is stepping through it with faith, patience, and hope.
